Bedford - Robert C. (Bob) Walker, 73, of Bedford, passed away at 12:20 am on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born August 30, 1947 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Dale and Almeta (Chastain) Walker. He was a graduate of Shawswick High School. He married
Suzanne Flynn on February 18, 1987 and she survives. He retired in 1997 from GM Powertrain after working for 31 ½ years. He was a member of the
Oolitic Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his wife, Suzanne, of Bedford; a son, Robert Dale Walker, and wife, Ginger, of Terre Haute; three daughters, Lorinda Batchelor, of Bedford,
Michelle Osborne, of Garner, NC, Mindi Robinson, and husband, Daryl, of Bedford; a brother, Danny Walker, and wife, Judy, of Bedford; step-daughters,
Lisha Walker, Jody Walker, Kelly Speer and husband, Wally; grandchildren, Haley Burger (Bill) and their children, Bentley and Cayson,
Robert Walker (Erin and their child, Carter), Edward Trey Koch [Skyy Shipman] (and their child, Eddy), Izabella Shew, Tyler Harrison, Taylor Fleenor,
Caleb Staily, Jesse Staily; and his beloved dog, Jackson. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 27th at the Oolitic Pentecostal Church with Pastor and friend Marty Speer officiating.
Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday at the church. Due to Covid-19 mandates,
the family asks visitors to wear a mask.
